In life, we are all faced with the ever-present threat of betrayal.
Just because we have a good amount of trust in the people we love doesn’t mean we can’t also have an “ever-present threat” of betrayal from those same people. And because we don’t have the means to detect or prevent all of our friends from betraying us, we have to rely on someone else to keep us on the straight and narrow.
A big part of being a good person in a bad world is knowing when to take a leap of faith. When people betray you, you don’t just throw their arms in the air and say, “I’m sorry, I should have known, I’m so sorry.” You can’t.
It’s funny how people often tell you their friends are betraying them, but in the end they all betray you. You can’t put an absolute trust in someone, no matter how good they might be, because they’ll betray you. It’s only when you’re in the middle of a betrayal that you can make a choice about whether to take a leap of faith.
Ive been burned by people who have betrayed me over and over, but I still never trust anyone. There’s a certain amount of trust needed on a relationship, but if it ends up being a one sided relationship, you lose your trust altogether. Ive had plenty of people betray me, but I never trust them. Its kind of sad when you realize that they arent the one being betraying you.
The problem with betraying you is that there are other people out there who will do the same. It is the same story as you have in the first place.
I’m not a fan of the internet for a few reasons, but the one about trusting people is the most important one. If you’re not trusting people, you aren’t trusting at all. Everyone is out to get you, whether you realize it or not.
And that goes for the internet in general, where everyone wants to get you. You are being a victim of a mass delusion in the guise of “journalism.” But the internet is no longer the place to be to begin with. If you don’t trust the internet, you are probably not trusting anyone in it.
So people love to blame everything on the internet. Because I can tell you that, on the web, people are doing a lot of things that aren’t necessarily their fault. The problem is that people are so convinced that everything is their fault that they are going to blame anyone, anywhere, at any time. If you think that everybody is out to get you, its because you haven’t done your part to make the internet the place to be.
If you know that something is out to get you, its because you havent done your part to make the internet the place to be. It’s because of people like us, who know that something is probably wrong, but don’t know how to fix it. Instead, we are a bunch of internet-hating loonies. I know what you’re thinking. “You mean we don’t go to the internet to help people?” Well, we do.
