Even though I’m an active player on a few teams, when someone asks me what my “main” is, this question always catches me off guard. – @PKPenguinMaster (December 11th)
There’s something about frantically typing the letters in your clan name to quickly find out if it was already taken that reminds me more than anything else of being at the DMV or getting a new phone contract. – Jovan Jackson (@jovanjackson) November 20th 2017

I think I’m going to go with “Drop the Mic” because it’s catchy and would provide a fair warning to my teammates that they may need to invest in noise cancelling headphones. – Fallon Anderson (@FallenAnderson) April 23rd 2017

The most important part is that you have a clan. That way if someone doesn’t want to play with me or one of my teammates because they don’t like our team culture or something else we can tell them exactly where not to go and find another team. I think every competitive game needs this so we would be ableto weed out all those players who are not interested in winning at all.- Patrick “Scarizard” Scarborough
The name should be: [Insert clan name] – Max (@MaximumMax) January 22, 2017 If you have to explain your League of Legends clan name then it’s too complicated. I do that for a living and even I don’t understand the one we just came up with- Riot Games Support Team (@AskRiotSupport) November 16th 2016
Your LoL team’s best chance is if they can get an attention grabbing or creative logo to go along with their names. A good example would be TSM, there always seems to be hype around what teams will face them because everyone knows about how much money they’ve spent

And now for your entertainment some fun facts about clans and their names:
Clan isn’t just a last name that belongs only to Scottish people! Some Irish families use it as well! The word is derived from Gaelic clann meaning children or descendants (of). Clans were first used in Scotland when land was divided up
Clan Motto: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” -Abraham Lincoln
The story of how the Clan motto came to be is a mystery, but it was probably chosen because they were devout followers of Abraham Lincoln or else just thought that it sounded cool for an alliance name. Ever since then, their family crest has been shown at all times- even on their army’s flags and in writing as well. There are many different interpretations about what this quote means, which may have led to its popularity among clans like these who want something deep with meaning behind their words rather than something short and sweet such as Bloodthirsty Vikings (which actually sounds pretty awesome). Regardless of one’s interpretation though, the Clan motto is a reminder of their pride for what they do and who they are. The quote itself has been attributed to Abraham Lincoln, but it’s unclear how that came about- there was no record of him ever saying this phrase in his writings or speeches. It might have come from an obscure newspaper article printed during the Civil War era which quoted “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” -Abraham Lincoln with no attribution sourcing (though it could just be coincidence). Regardless, the Clan must attribute themselves as being followers of Abe so at least one person can take credit!
