Not too mention they’re hilarious with all those totally inappropriate names for themselves that have been taken out of context by people who don’t know them the perfect balance between clever and shocking.

The best song has got to be ‘Cockroach’ it doesn’t matter how many times you hear it, you’re still going to laugh.

I’m not sure if they were really trying to make a statement about the importance of killing cockroaches with that song or something else but I love them for making me feel like an outsider and reminding me just how funny our culture can be sometimes.”

“It’s okay to be a little self conscious about being the most popular punk in school, but you should try not to wear your name on your shirt.” `This is what we’re getting at.

“I was listening to the radio and heard a song by The Crotch Rockets, but I couldn’t tell if it was just some other band with an obscene name or not.” One time we had lunch in the parking lot of our school because someone spray painted our names on all the sidewalks around campus! We were so embarrassed!

“At first glance you might think that they are trying to make fun of punk bands–but then you realize how much their songs mean to them and what they’re willing to do for that dream.” It’s called Punk Names That Mean Something, which speaks volumes about who this artist is as a person. They love music but also have a sense of humor when it comes to themselves and what they do.

We hope you can get your vengeful spree started soon!

What’s even more amazing about these tweets than how great they make us laugh is that most of the people tweeting them are just like us: they work jobs, deal with bosses and roommates and go on dates. They’re regular humans who happen to be into punk music–and it’s a beautiful thing.

“It was so frustrating because I had been thinking about this for weeks but when I finally got my chance, he made me name her after his ex.” + This person may have found themselves in an unfortunate situation where their creativity has been put down by someone else. We hope things get better soon!

“If you can’t come up with your own band name, please don’t steal mine,” said one tweet from @IamStrawberrii_. Fair enough.

“I have the perfect band name, but my friend’s kid just came up with it,” said another tweet from @BrennanZoe_. This is a great way to recycle ideas.

“My dog was barking and I had an idea for a band name.” + We’re not sure what kind of music this would be punk? Metal? Funk rockers?? There are tons of options!

We at PunkRave hope that these tweets will make you laugh (or cry) as much as they did us so we can put smiles on your faces all year long. And please feel free to share any punks names you may know in the comments below.

The genre takes its name after this group – which was coined by John Holmstrom in his 1976 article for Punk magazine titled ‘Punk Rock’. And while we’re on the topic of naming, let’s talk about punk names. If you’re a fan of this genre and haven’t been called one before (or if you’ve ever considered what your own might be), here are some hilarious tweets to get you started! “My name is Punk Rocker” “I’m Punkin'” “Punk?
