10 Shocking Miley Cyrus Tweets About Names of the Three Musketeers

One of the most influential twitter users in the world today is Miley Cyrus. Her tweets are often shocking and hilarious, but this week she shared her opinion about names of famous books that we know from childhood. We were shocked to find out that she has never heard of The Three Musketeers!

The Three Musketeers is a novel by Alexandre Dumas from the 1800s. The story follows three Frenchmen, Athos, Porthos and Aramis who are all musketeer guards in King Louis XII’s court. They swear to protect each other with their lives when they become sojourners on an adventure to save France from powerful villains.

In her tweet Miley said that she never knew this book existed because it was not “included in my syllabus.” She also tweeted about how confusing the names of the characters were because they sound like athletic positions or types of food! We can’t wait to see what hilarious tweets she shares next week!

Miley Cyrus has some rather unexpected thoughts about Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Muskateers on Twitter. She doesn’t really like when people use a different language to say her name because she thinks its “weird” or “disrespectful” which also applies to calling one of the most iconic books about female characters in literature “Three Dudes Riding Horses”.

In general Miley isn’t a big fan of remakes of her favorite stories or films with no feminist context but the three Muskateers is one story that she’s surprisingly quite fond of and it makes sense because its all about girl power! Dumas’ novel was originally published as The Three Musketeers, so maybe we should just be thankful Hollywood didn’t decide to call this film “The Three Musketeer Girls”!

“I’ve never seen the three musketeers. I’m sorry, what’s that? Are they from Star Wars?”

The word “musketeer” is not pronounced like a regular English word. It has two syllables: MUS-keh-teer. Did you pronounce it incorrectly on purpose? The pronunciation of this French term was probably lost in translation when Disney made the movie.”

“My favorite Three Musketeers are Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck! Duh!”

Of course Miley Cyrus would make up fake names for Dumas’ novel – fyi her best friend is named after one of them and another character shares her name with one of Miley’s friends too. You know how much Miley loves to hog the spotlight.

“I’m a French musketeer, I do what I please.”

“The problem with this movie is, there’s no feminist,” Muskateer tweeted on Sunday night after watching an advance screening of Disney’s new live-action version of ” The Three Musketeers .” So what did Miley Cyrus mean by that? From her perspective as a self-described French Musketeer who does whatever she pleases (see above), um..nothing really. But from our side of things, it might be worth considering how much Hollywood spends telling stories about men doing anything they please to women without consequence. Could Cyrus have been commenting on something else entirely?”My favorite Three Mouskers are Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy,” Muskateer wrote in another tweet.
