10 Can’t Miss Netflix Shows on Disney Girl Names

Disney girl names have been a huge trend for the past few years, but did you know that there are some pretty sweet Netflix shows out there too? In this blog post we will be discussing 10 can’t miss shows on Netflix with Disney Girl Names.

Anastasia: The animated series based on the 1997 movie of the same name, Anastasia is about a girl who just wants to know more about her past and family.

The Little Mermaid: This show is loosely based off of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Little Mermaid” and follows Ariel as she tells stories from day-to-day life in Atlantica.

Rapunzel Unbraided: A Netflix original adaptation of Elisa Ludwig’s book “Rapunzel Unbraided,” this animation features Rapunzel trying to find herself after one year jailed by an unknown witch.

Arielle – The Series: Arielle has always been fascinated with her family’s history, and wants to learn more about them.

Winnie the Pooh: Winnie the Pooh is a sweet-natured honey bear who lives at 100 Acre Wood with his friends Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga Roo and Eeyore. But when he sets out on an adventure to find new things that make him happy – like balloons in “Pooh’s Grand Adventure” or parties in “The Book of Pooh,” we get a glimpse into what makes this little guy tick!

Tangled: Tangled tells the story of Rapunzel who longs for adventure outside her tower; she lets down her hair from time to time so Flynn can climb up

-Cinderella

-Frozen

-Moana

-Ariel the Little Mermaid, The Emperor’s New Groove and Tangled.

*Moana tells an epic tale about Moana, daughter of Chief Tui and Sina of the Polynesian Village. Moana is both a wayward adventurer and aspiring chief who sets sail to save her people, but also learn more about herself along the way

*Ariel The Little Mermaid has been one of my favorite Disney movies since I was little. This movie reminds me of how we can all be heroes in our own lives; even when it doesn’t seem like things are going well or there’s not much hope left

*The Emperor’s New Groove and Tangled are two classics that you have probably seen before if you’re a big fan on them! If this is your first time watching these films then you should know they’re definitely worth seeing because they combine tons of adventure with humor which makes for a great time!

*Somewhere in Time is an all-time favorite for a lot of people. I love to watch this movie because it reminds me that the past, present and future are just different parts of now

*Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is one of Disney’s oldest films but also one my personal favorites. It tells the story about Snow White who has been forced into servitude by her wicked stepmother Queen Grimhilde (aka: Evil Queen). This film was really important when it came out because not only did it have some very strong female leads but they were happy too which made girls everywhere feel good about themselves

*Winnie In Winterland isn’t as well known as other movies on this list but it really is one of the best. It’s an animated film that tells a story about Winnie, who lives in Santa’s workshop when he isn’t delivering toys to children around the world. When she finds out her friends have forgotten her birthday and they won’t make time for her party like they promised, she gets mad

*Moana is another Disney movie where girls get to be powerful heroes. Moana wants to become a master wayfinder so she can save her island from destruction by solving problems with knowledge not violence. She voyages into uncharted territory on a quest across open ocean until she reaches Maui the demigod hero (aka: The Demigod)

-Moana teaches kids that it’s not about the destination but rather the journey.

The Moana soundtrack is also worth mentioning because it has a mix of upbeat songs and quieter, more emotional tunes that will make you feel all the feels

*I would recommend watching Moana for any little girl who wants to be brave or save her island from destruction with knowledge instead of violence. You can’t help but love this Disney princess inspired by Polynesian culture. I bet she’ll take your mind off things in no time at all!

*You might have heard that Netflix just announced some new shows including The Crown which was released on December 14th 2016, so keep an eye out there too for something else good to watch when you need a break from your adventures*

*And don’t forget Trolls coming to Netflix on December 23rd 2016. This is a show about the troll king at his worst when he’s forgotten how special and unique each of us are.*

*I think you’ll really enjoy watching these shows with your daughter if she has any interest in them, or maybe they can even share some time together enjoying one or two episodes! They’re all sure to bring lots of laughs and happy tears.* *So get ready for a little bit more Disney magic – without leaving the comfort of your own home!*

The Moana soundtrack is also worth mentioning because it has a mix of upbeat songs and quieter, more emotional tunes that will make you feel all the feels. I really like the song “Where You Are” which sounds a lot more grown up than I expected, and my daughter has enjoyed singing along to it. The end of Frozen is also worth mentioning because as you’ll recall from the lyrics in one of its most popular songs, “Love is an Open Door,” this Disney movie came with a major open door: letting us dive into the world that’s being built through these stories. That world continues growing with each new show or sequel.* *If your kids are anything like mine, they’re going to have lots of questions about what comes next!* *Ease their minds by checking out some interviews on Youtube where people who’ve worked on these movies answer questions directly from fans just like
